Dr. Bremser is a senior managing consultant with LECG located in the Washington, DC office. Dr. Bremser has a PhD in finance from Virginia Tech (Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University), an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and a BS in commerce from the University of Virginia. Dr. Bremser is also part of the arbitration pool for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), and the National Futures Association (NFA) as well as being a chartered financial analyst (CFA) charterholder. His areas of interest include financial analysis, financial modeling, cost of capital, valuation, and derivative securities such as options.

Dr. Bremser has prepared expert analysis (without a written text report) in a case involving allegations of unsuitable investments and excessive trading for a NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers) arbitration panel. At a hearing before the Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration, Dr. Bremser provided oral rebuttal on behalf of petitioners to the oral presentation made by respondents in a countervailing duty investigation involving an agricultural product.

Dr. Bremser has nine years of consulting experience with LECG and a Big 4 firm which have involved a variety of financial and economic advisory projects, and the application of financial, economic, and valuation analysis. The consulting projects have involved electricity tolling agreements, tariff rates for crude oil and refined product pipelines, intellectual property, international trade, raising capital, breach of contract, contracting terms, retail and institutional investment portfolios, individual investment securities such as options, event studies, security class action lawsuits, and the cost of capital.

Dr. Bremser's experience includes financial statement analysis and quantitative analysis as well as the application of finance and valuation techniques and concepts such as option valuation. As a PhD student at Virginia Tech, Dr. Bremser completed a PhD course in the theory of derivative securities valuation (options, futures, etc.). His background also includes knowledge of accounting principles and accounting transactions, and general statistics and econometrics.

Before joining LECG, Dr. Bremser was employed by KPMG LLP in the Washington, DC office. Prior to his employment with KPMG LLP, he was completing his PhD and teaching finance courses at Virginia Tech. Dr. Bremser has also been employed by MCI, Freddie Mac, and the University of Virginia Medical Center.
